There are profiles for the seven localities of Shetland, and one for Shetland.

The final 2023 meeting of the Shetland Partnership Network took place on Tuesday 12th December at Islesburgh Community Centre.

The event was a drop in session to catch up at the end of the year. Topics of discussion were: the new Islands with Small Populations Locality Plan; the new Delivery Plan for the Shetland Partnership; and the Locality Profiles which were published in December.

The Shetland Partnership Network aims to help partners create a sense of shared ownership of community planning and to create a safe environment for open and honest conversations around the challenges and opportunities to tackle inequalities in Shetland. The Network brings together representatives of all community planning partners in Shetland and offers opportunities for information sharing, developing ideas and building relationships.

In groups, representatives of Partner organisations discussed the new Locality Profiles, generating a lot of good discussion about how they could be used. Locality Profiles provide detailed information at a local level. They are useful for a number of reasons including service redesign, local plans and maximising opportunities to seek external funding to support community development. For more information on the profiles, read our news article or head to our Locality Profile pages

The next meeting of the Shetland Partnership Network will be held in February.
