Transforming Participation

What is planned for the project in the future?

The project will continue to push to improve the quality and effectiveness of community engagement and participation. Plans to take this project forward include:

  • Identifying training needs and developing the workforce
  • Maximising opportunities for partners to come together and share practice
  • Learning from further afield, looking to partners in other areas of Scotland and beyond for ideas
  • Exploring Place Based approaches (an opportunity to learn from further afield)

There is also a longer term aim to build into the Shetland Partnership Website an online hub and participation toolkit. This will be an accessible hub of information and guidance, providing opportunities to share success, challenges and ways to improve.
