Transforming Participation
What resources were needed to allow the project to succeed?
Partners within the Shetland Partnership are committed to providing resources to contribute to an improvement in outcomes, as laid out in Shetland’s Partnership Plan.
For the Transforming Participation project this includes:
- Staff/Time
- Data/Research
- Technological/Digital solutions
The main resource is staff time and commitment to the process, which can be a lengthy one, working alongside communities at a pace which accommodates a range of local needs and circumstances.
The sharing of data and research across partners is also a vital element in supporting participation. With technological and digital solutions being a key tool in facilitating new ways of participating, particularly when solutions are shared across partners. An example of this in practice is the Virtual Town Hall.
